Why Did You Decide to Become a Sleep Dentist?

Dr. Layman originally planned on attending medical school after college; she even worked as a registered nurse for a while. However, her mom suggested that she think about dental school instead. She ended up where she is today thanks to that excellent motherly advice!

Where Did You Study Sleep Dentistry?

After she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Layman attended the Baylor College of Dentistry, which is where she earned her dental degree. She is proud to be double-board-certified in dental sleep medicine. She has achieved Diplomate status with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy as well as the American Board for Dental Sleep Medicine.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Layman has enjoyed over 20 years of marriage with her wonderful husband, Nick. Together they have two daughters, Lainey and Zoe. When she has free time on the weekends, Dr. Layman likes to go shopping and watch movies with her loved ones. She also enjoys traveling when she has the chance.
